Managing Rheumatoid Arthritis through Ayurveda

Rheumatoid Arthritis can be managed through Ayurveda by improving diet, life style, applying herbs and herbal medicines and Yoga. Rheumatoid Arthritis is known as extremely old disease as the description of this disease is available in several Ayurvedic literatures.

According to Ayurveda, arthritis is caused primarily by an excess of amavata (toxins) and lack of agni (digestive fire). The poor digestion and a weakened colon can raise the volume of toxins in the body that begins to deposit on the joints area and produce Rheumatoid Arthritis.

So, the best way to cure arthritis is to improve digestive fire (agni) and suppress the deposition of ama.

Rheumatoid Arthritis can be treated by recognizing the persons' lifestyle, diet, emotional pattern, and doshas. After proper diagnosing, you can get the proper prescriptions. Herbal and Ayurvedic medicines restrain the strength of Vata dosha and remove the ama from the joint and bring it back to the colon, and then to eliminate it.
