Causes of Obesity
The condition in which excess amount of fat and carbohydrates gets deposited in adipose tissues is called obesity. Not only obesity makes a person appear unattractive, it also is a cause of major diseases and disorders, making body prone to them. It is important to determine the causes of obesity so that a person can fight them.
Causes of Obesity
Overeating: The most common cause of obesity, which is also under our control is overeating. Overeating is the calorie intake that surpasses the calorie expenditure by some measure.
One needs to understand that the amount of food and calories that have been consumed, have to be spent in some form or another. Lack of expenditure of calories leads to accumulation of calories, thus resulting in weight gain, which eventually leads to obesity.
Fats and oils: There also may be some people who do not overeat to an extent that causes obesity. But whatever the intake is, if that intake consists of foods packed with fats and oils. It sure is going to give rise to weight issues.
Fats and oils are necessary for the body, as they help in building the tissues. But over consumption of food packed with fats and carbohydrates can cause only harm to the body.
The pancreatic enzymes are not able to digest excess fat, which gets accumulated and the person starts suffering from this disorder.
Lack of physical activity is also a major reason for obesity. Exercise help in burning fats and calories. The more physically active a person is, less are the chances of being overweight. Physical exercises help in shedding the extra kilos.
Hormonal imbalance: With some people, obesity is a result of hormonal imbalance. Growth hormone deficiency is one such hormonal imbalance problem that cause obesity. People with such syndrome have a high body mass index. This type of problem causes a high abdominal fat, thus making a person look fat.
