Many of us look for home remedies for boils as it offers some relief to this disease that affects large number of people. Boils are round shaped, red colored eruptions on the skin, which are full of pus and often cause pain. Boils can occur in any part of the body be it neck, face, waist and other parts of the body.

  • Apply warm compresses on the affected region. It helps in alleviating the pain and swelling at that part. If you repeat the actions the boil will come to a head and burst.
  • If the boil bursts wash it with antibacterial soap to prevent infection. After that you can apply a ointment and bandage the wound.
  • Avoid pricking the boil with a needle it will make the things worse.
  • Garlic, a broad-spectrum home remedy is also useful in treating boils. Apply the garlic paste on the affected parts and it will help in the release of pus from the boils.
  • Onion is another effective home remedy for boils. Apply extracts from raw onions over the boils it facilitates the healing.
  • Application of milk and milk cream opens the head of boils besides moisturizing the area.,
  • Parsley leaves are also excellent home remedy for boils. Put boiled parsley leaves in the gauze over the affected region for best results

Paan (betel) and Margosa (neem) leaves:

Apply the boiled and softened betel leaves on the boil and it will open the head of the boil releasing pus. You can also boil the leaves of the neem tills it becomes a paste and apply it gently on boil.

Bitter Gourd:

One can also apply bitter gourd extract on the boil as it disinfects the boils and help release the pus.

Turmeric powder:

One can take 3-4 tsp roasted-turmeric and make a paste mixing water. Apply this paste on the affected area.
