Ayurvedic remedies for hair fall

Hair fall starts among people from a certain age and with the growing years, it become more evident. Having said that, the age factor has no relevance when it comes to hair loss due genetic disorders, hormonal imbalance or scalp infections. Adolescents and teens suffer from hormonal imbalance and different kinds of scalp infections, which amount to hair loss due to the damage done to the scalp by these syndromes. Increasing number of people is complaining of hair loss due to these factors and it's about time we do something about it. What we don't want is to end up scarring our scalp and developing bald patches all over our head.

Whilst there are many prescribed and over the counter hair solutions available in the market, many are unsure about them due to possible allergic infections or side effects. However, these medications ridden with harmful chemicals are not the only solution to hair loss syndrome, there is an array of herbal products, which are gaining popularity. These herbal products are potentially effective with no side effects to speak of. Some of the most popular ones are:

Aloe Vera: Aloe Vera has been used as a recognizable medicine since ages to treat number of diseases. It helps in regulating the amount of sebum produced by the sebaceous glands. Though sebum produces oil necessary for nourishment of hair, it overproduction clogs the hair follicles and prevents their growth, thus resulting in hair fall. It can be consumed in the form of juice, gel or paste and even in its raw form.

Vinegar or limejuice: Rinsing your hair with limejuice or vinegar helps in disinfecting scalp infections. The chemical composition of vinegar and limejuice helps in strengthening weakened hair tresses. Due to its disinfectant properties, it also helps in eliminating dandruff.

Saw palmetto: As discussed above, hair fall is due to the hormonal imbalance in the body. The DHT inhibitors in the body cause hair follicles to shrink and cause hair fall. Saw Palmetto blocks the action of Dihydrotestosterone, thus preventing shrinking of hair follicles.
