Home Remedies for Cracked Heels

Most of us have faced the problem of cracked heals and have used the home remedies for cracked heels. The problem becomes worse during the winters.

Causes of cracked heels:

  • Winter and cold climate

  • Dehydrated skin or dry skin

  • Lack of moisture in feet

  • Hot baths or showers

  • Soaking of feet in hot water for a longtime

  • Soaps with harshness

  • Too much scrubbing of feet

  • Scrubbing

  • Diabetes

Home remedies for Cracked heals:

  • Drink as much water as you can to keep the feet hydrated. It keeps the skin soft.

  • Make it a habit to wash your feet after coming from outside. Do wash your feet before you sleep.

  • Put your feet in lukewarm water and apply some soap on it.

  • Scrub the dead skin of the feet with a scrubber it prevents the feet from crack.

  • Cleanse your feet and apply some foot cream on them. One should apply petroleum jelly to keep the feet moist.

  • Have a watch on your nails and keep it well trimmed.

  • Soak you feet in lukewarm water for 5-10 minutes and scrub the dead skin after.

  • To get relief from pain apply melt paraffin wax mixed with a little coconut oil.

  • Wear right sized and right shaped shoes to get relief from cracked heels.

Applying onion oil on the skin rashes is also a good home remedy for cracked heels.
